Area Calculator

1. Click the Calculator Product Info tab.
2. Define unit text – for area it is usually sqft, sqin. or sqyd . The text will be shown as price/sqft etc.

3. Show Multiple Unit Type – Allows your customer to choose the unit type they are familiar with metric or non-metric. The extension will convert to the option settings for pricing.

This is a two-dimension calculation using Length X Width, Length X Height, Length X Depth.

1. Turn ON if you want to show the stock to customer.
2. Enter input limit message to notify them that they need enter the value between minimum and maximum limit. Default message is “Please enter between:”.
3. Enter minimum error limit to let customer know that they need to enter bigger value than the minimum limit value. Default message is: “Please enter minimum:”.
Enter minimum error limit to let customer know that they need to enter smaller value than the maximum limit value. Default message is: “The maximum cannot exceed:”.
4. Select area type. Available options are Length X Width, Length X Height and Length X Depth.
5. Enter minimum length.
6. Enter maximum length.
7. Enter minimum width.
8. Enter maximum width.

9. Select Maximum Basis:
A. Actual Qty: Select this if you want the extension automatically to reduce the maximum limit each time after customer enters the dimension. e.g. You have a 10 inch length X 10 inch width product which equals to 100sqin. Your customer order is 3X4 = 12sqin. The remaining stock will be 88. And the maximum limit will be adjusted based on your choice in number 10 below.
B. Fixed Limit: Select this if you don’t want the maximum limit get reduced each time after customer select the dimension (The maximum limit will not be adjusted even though you turn ON the Track Stock Option).
10. Select dimension for adjustment: Select the dimension that you want to be adjusted upon customer order. (The choices will be automatically changed based on the area type that you choose in number 4 above and only shown if you choose Actual Qty as the Maximum Basis).
11. Choose different unit to let customer use big and small unit as the input. e.g. set inch as input unit and feet as output unit (You have to create the length class first).
12. Enter the decimal number to be used as rounding (If you leave this field empty, the extension uses 3 decimal number as the default decimal number).

13. Select options that will be calculated along with the area. Other product options need to be created in the regular options manner and then added to your product in order to be calculated with the area.

Global Attribute – the extension adds the new element type Area for your use.

1. This is shown if you Turn ON the field number 1 in the settings page.
2. This is the limit message that was shown to customer that you enter via field number 2 in the settings page.
3. This is the Min or Max limit message that was shown to customer that you enter via field number 3 in the settings page.
4. This is the minimum length that was shown to customer that you enter via field number 5 in the settings page.
5. This is the maximum length that was shown to customer that you enter via field number 6 in the settings page.
6. This is the minimum width that was shown to customer that you enter via field number 7 in the settings page.
7. This is the maximum width that was shown to customer that you enter via field number 8 in the settings page.
8. This is the unit that was shown to customer that you choose via field number 11 in the settings page.
9. This is the decimal number that was shown to customer that you choose via field number 12 in the settings page.
