Notes:
1. If you are running multiple discounts, the priority is important as well as the date. e.g. You have two discount for same customer group and product, and both priority is set to 0, but have different expiration date. When the first one expires, the second one will be automatically used. If you use different priority (0 for the first one, 1 for the second one) but the expiration date is not set, the second one won’t be used.
2. Priority 0 is always present for all groups. You can set the priority in two places. One is via our Product Special Listing and another one is via Product Promotions Page.

Note for number 1 & 2:
You may use only category, only customer group, both, or none at all if you want to apply the discount to all products and customer groups. |
1. Select the category: Select the category that you want to apply the discount rule.
2. Select the customer group: Select the customer group that you want to apply the discount rule.
3. Priority: Priority is used when you have multiple discounts set and you did not set the expiration date. e.g. You have 3 discount rules, and the priorities are 0,1,2. 0 is the first that will be used..
4. Show Sale Tag: Turn ON if you want to show Sale Tag for this rule.
Note for number 5 & 6:
The rule is applied to all products of the category/customer group. To apply to only few products, use field number 5 and leave field number 6 empty. If you want most products but want to exclude a few product(s), use field number 6 and leave field number 5 empty. |
5. Select the products for inclusion: Select the products that will be using this discount rule. You can leave the Select the products for exclusion empty. If empty, all products will use the discount rule..
6. Select the products for exclusion: Select the products that will be excluded in this discount rule.
7. Discount type: Select the discount type, fixed or percentage.
8. Enter the discount value: Fill this field with 2 decimal places if you use fixed rate (e.g. 0.45) as the type or percentage without the percent sign (e.g. 10, the percentage will become 10.00 after you save the discount rule).
9. Enter the discounted message: Enter the desired message to be shown to customer to let them know that the price is discounted.
10. Date Start: Select the desired start date of discount.
11. Date End: The stop date of the rule or leave blank for perpetual.
12. Finally click the Save button.
